Hello, stranger on my fence,
The sight of you is making no sense,
Perching at 8 o’clock in the morning,
Is this your usual time hunting?
I've heard your music at night,
never thought I would see you in broad daylight,
Are you here to deliver a message,
To signal a transition or a rite of passage?

Are you here to give me your guidance–
how to survive through the dark nights in silence?
how to remain completely still in majestic grace?
how to shine so brightly during the new moon phase?
Are you delivering a promise of a sacred boon
that abundance is reaching my land and my people soon?
Or maybe I'm reading too much into all this!
You're resting after a long night hunt, and that's it!

Regardless of your intention,
I'm deeply grateful for this moment,
About fifteen feet apart,
Behind a big piece of glass,
I admire the stranger on the fence,
The sight of you is making complete sense,
I open my whole heart to the Mystic,
My soul now inherits the White Owl’s spirit!
